Let me introduce myself. I’m Jill Cuff. I've been a Registered Nurse for my entire adult life. I've worked in medical surgical nursing, critical care, and 17 years in the operating room. A few years ago, as I saw my own skin aging, I became interested in skin health and esthetics and became licensed. My love of OR nursing and skin care brought me to create Lovelier Skin by Nurse Jill.

At Lovelier Skin, my goal is to help men and women eliminate or lessen the appearance of minor skin imperfections that take away from their loveliest selves.

DERMAPLANING
Dermaplaning is a method of manual exfoliation. A dermaplane-specific, sterile scalpel is used to “plane” off the top layers of the stratum corneum which is the top layer of the epidermis. This type of exfoliation will make your products absorb better, your skin feel smoother, and your foundation glide on beautifully. An added bonus of dermaplaning vs other forms of exfoliation is the removal of the vellus hair, commonly called peach fuzz.
Contraindications are:
use of Retin-A or tretinoin in the past 5 days, must stay off 5 days post
must be 12 month post Isotretinoin treatment
at least one week after Botox and/or other injectables and fillers
at least 14 days after a chemical peel
If you get PIH (Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation)- Pretreat at least 2 weeks prior to dermaplaning
if diabetic, BS must be under control
patient should not be under-going cancer treatment
grade 3 acne or above or active acne lesions present
cold sores - reschedule
on blood thinners or high doses of aspirin
sunburn or windburn
